Nia is Movement-Medicine for the Body and Soul

And what a gift it is……

Have you ever thought of immersing yourself in Music, Movement, and Magic for a whole week?  This is what we do in Nia White Belt Intensive Training.  The White Belt is based on 13 Principles that create the elegant and intelligent foundation of the Nia Technique.  Each training is 7 days in duration, about 55 hours.  The learning design includes classes, lectures, discussion and exploration.

We learn both through experiential exercises and cognitively about:  The Joy of Movement, The 52 Moves of Nia, Anatomy, Music Theory and Appreciation, Creativity and Free Dance, Awareness and Self Healing, The 9 Movement Forms, and Somatic/Sensation based Movement.

All of this culminates in a better understanding of who you are, movement with more ease & pleasure, expressing yourself creatively, increased awareness in your body, mind & spirit, and a wonderful bond with movement lovers just like you!

Most people attend the training for personal growth, improved fitness, fun and curiosity.  It is also the first level of training for anyone considering a new career teaching Nia.  In order to teach anything, one needs a strong personal practice and intimate knowledge.  There are no tests, no teaching required. Teachers are required to become Livelihood Members and will learn their Nia routines post WB training

Right now – until the end of 2012 – Nia is offering a $100 discount on registration.  Please check it out at  Only 2 weeks left!

This training will take place July 2-8th, 2013.  Edison School, Okotoks, AB  With the Amazing Roberta Mohler.
